AI, or artificial intelligence, are machines made to learn, reason, and act like humans. We use them in banks, hospitals, CCTVs, and even in our daily lives. AI makes our lives much more convenient, making it more efficient to do tasks. New generations of AI have taken a physical body in the form of cars or even like humans such as the Tesla Bot. Not only that, AI has been implemented in military services such as the generation 6 fighter jets in the USA. As AI develops more as time goes on, doubt has been spreading. Many people are worried about the future of AI, afraid that they might revolt against us, turning back on its creator. While some are glad to have AI helping us, some want AI to be removed. But could you just imagine, a world where robots are doing all our work, living and taking care of us, would that be exciting or terrifying?
AI has become a part of our daily lives now. From virtual assistants like Siri, to Chatbots such as ChatGPT, to self-driving cars and to advanced medical diagnostics. They are exceeding human capabilities and can do so many things better than us. They are reshaping the industries that rely on man power. However this becomes a great concern to some people. It raises concern about the impacts on jobs, ethics, and independence.
Supporters argue that AI increases efficiency, improves decision-making, and enhances productivity. For example, AI algorithms help detect diseases earlier than most professional doctors, optimize traffic flow, and automate repetitive tasks, allowing us to focus on more meaningful work or even relax. However, adversaries stated that AI could lead to massive job losses, widen the gap of economic inequality, and even pose risks or harm if not left maintained. Some people even form conspiracies that one day AI will betray their own creator and rule over the world like in some sci-fi movie. The fear of AI surpassing human intelligence and making decisions fuels debates on whether actions made by AI should be strictly monitored and regulated.
In summary, AI helps improve our day to day lives. Not only does it increase efficiency, but also it increases productivity. There is debate on whether AI is really useful or bad for our society as it provides risks that can lead to the decline of a country. Their actions are currently being monitored thoroughly by experts from anything catastrophic from happening, but we cannot truly depend on AI on everything. There is one thing that is true: AI is here to stay. It is here to help us shape the future. But the question is, how will we use this power to guide us shape the future?
